Simon Transport Safety Awards

Simon Transport Wins 1st Place in Safety

One thing truly transcends everything else as a trucking company: safety. At Simon Transport, we pride ourselves on many things: our family atmosphere, culture of excellence, great equipment, great benefits, and more. But it’s our commitment to the motor public’s our drivers’ safety that we’re most proud of. Our incredible team of company drivers are the backbone of our business and our office staff work every day to ensure that they’re safe, healthy, and happy. Therefore, we’re incredibly proud to be awarded four First Place safety awards by the Utah Trucking Association, in coordination with the American Trucking Associations, for the 2018 year. We were presented with these awards at the annual Utah Trucking Association Convention in St. George, Utah this past week.

Simon Transport received 1st place in respective divisions in each of the following categories:

  • 1st Place – Great West Safety Award
    • Flatbed – For outstanding achievement in highway safety
  • 1st Place – Great West Safety Award
    • Truckload Carrier – For outstanding achievement in highway safety
  • 1st Place – Industrial Safety Award – General Commodities
  • 1st Place – Industrial Safety Award – Flatbed

We’d like to extend a sincere “thank you” to the Utah Trucking Association and Great West Casualty Insurance for their continued stewardship and sponsorship of these awards.

Lyn Simon, President of Simon Transport, thanked and congratulated the office staff and drivers in an email saying “You all could not have made my prouder, and you should all be proud of yourselves! This is a true testament to your professionalism as drivers and office personnel and your regard to safety. This is proof that we all live by our culture of safety.”

Throughout our history, Simon Transport has been steadfast in our drivers’ health and safety. In the past 14 years, we have been awarded 28 First Place safety awards, and we look forward to continuing the same excellence in safety in the years to come.
